Gap Year

In terms of learning Mandarin this is our most effective package. You will receive a course of structured lessons and will come home with conversational Mandarin and a solid basis in reading and writing Chinese characters. You will also gain experience of teaching English as a foreign language. There will be a group of China Recruitment candidates from the UK sent out with you, so you wont be alone – and there will be 24/7 support from China Recruitment in the UK and China.

The Gap Year Programme takes place in a number of different location across China, please see the table below for latest availability (updated 01/04/08):

Programme includes:

Receive 12 hours structured Mandarin lessons per week.
Teach English 12 hours per week..
Accommodation. A spacious bedroom and shared living/dinning room, bathroom with other Western participant.
No bills to pay, internet, gas, electricity and water provided (does not include telephone charges).
500rmb monthly wage for non-graduates / 1,000rmb monthly wage for graduates
Airport pick-up at Shanghai airport.
Help with booking train tickets and hotels for further travel.
Help with all visa applications.

Dates can be slightly flexible in order to accommodate the participant where possible.
