I mean it was just so great that I ended up staying there two years! Traveling cheaply, staying in hostels for a few pounds, jamming yourself onto a train with a thousand other Chinese people - just insanity but good times. Meeting random Chinese and foreign people. Being a rock star. Going to Beijing and partying like one. Working only a 14 hour week! Meat on a stick on the side of the road with a couple of beers to wash it down. Seeing the biggest Buddha in the world. Hiking through a gorge for a few days. Seeing more temples than you care to see. Great wall is the coolest thing ever, went over 6 times. Highly recommend the desert and the ice festival in Harbin. Life just rocked and wish I could go back and do it all again. That summer camp was amazing as well. Man you've really got me thinking back. Definitely need to get back there some time soon.
